Advisory Board Members

Mortgage Analytics conducts its activities with the highest integrity, so that accuracy, objectivity and reliability are ensured. To support this goal, our Advisory Board Members include a strong representation of Australian RMBS real money investors and market leaders. The Advisory Board Members assist with prioritising the ongoing development of the MARQ Services. They meet regularly to undertake specific responsibilities, governance and oversight in relation to the MARQ platform under our IOSCO-compliant Code of Conduct.


Professor David R. Gallagher, PhD

Professor Gallagher’s primary research interests and expertise are in the fields of capital markets and investment management. His research has won industry and academic awards and competitively awarded research grants.

Professor Gallagher has consulted widely on commissioned research projects for clients including Colonial First State, the Commonwealth Treasury, ING Investment Management, Macquarie Group, Mercer Investment Consulting, MLC, Russell Investments, and Vanguard Investments.

Dr Gallagher graduated with a PhD. in Finance from The University of Sydney Business School. He is a Deputy Editor of Accounting and Finance and serves as an editorial board member of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia’s (Finsia) journal, JASSA.


Chris Green

Tim Hughes

Former Treasurer, Suncorp Bank
Former Chairman, Australian Securitisation Forum (ASF)

Tim has over 30 years experience in banking including a number of years offshore working in financial markets in the United States, Canada and Northern Asia including Japan and Korea.
Prior to returning to Australia in 2004, Tim spent 3 years in Tokyo as Head of Asia Capital Markets at Bank One N.A. managing FX, Interest Rate and Fixed Income trading and distribution across Asia. In addition Tim was responsible for funding the Banks branches in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing and Taiwan.

Tim joined Suncorp Bank’s Treasury Management Team in January 2005, initially responsible for FX and Interest Rate Product Distribution. He was appointed to the role of Treasurer in October 2009 and retired from this position in October 2015. As Treasurer Tim was responsible for managing the Banks $60bio balance sheet, long and short term funding (including securitisation and covered bonds), liquidity and FX and interest rate trading and sales teams.

During his career Tim has been an active finance industry participant as a member of the Australian Bankers Association and AFMA Bank Treasurers forums. In April 2012 he was appointed Chairman of the Australian Securitisation Forum (ASF), a position he held until stepping down in November 2015. Tim was awarded the KangaNews Australian Market Achievement Award in 2014, recognizing individuals that go above and beyond to support industry developments in financial markets. In December 2015 Tim was made a Fellow of the ASF recognizing his contribution to the Securitisation Industry. Tim is also a member of the advisory board of MARQ Services.

Tim holds a graduate diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia (FINSIA) and is a graduate of the University of Michigan’s Executive Leadership program.


MARQ Product Advisory Group

The MPAG is selected to be a significant representation of Australian RMBS investors, and specifically long standing real money investors who have continually supported RMBS markets. The MPAG assists with prioritising the ongoing development of the MARQ Services platform.
